Vocal vinyl vortex is a next generation creative workshop which leverages collaborative digital content creation, short performances, talks and live demonstrations to showcase the potential of vocalists, spoken word artists and digital music creators working together beyond borders and other physical boundaries.
Vocalists/ storytellers, beat makers and or DJ’S participated in capacity building digital skills workshops after which they applied the skills and knowledge gained to collaborate in creating new digital content.

Collaborative digital content creation
Vocalists, Poets, producers and digital artists used their skills and knowledge gained from the workshops to collaborate in creating new digital content. 20 Creatives from Zimbabwe and the UK were selected and group into 5 groups of 4. Each group was challenged to collaborate remotely to create audio-visual content that was packaged as the Vocal Vinyl Vortex EP. The teams were given the theme AGAINST ALL ODDS and Each group created unique creative outputs that where showcased on an exclusive 2 hour radio show on Reprezent Radio. This provided an international platform for the Zimbabwean creatives to reach broader audiences.

Participants presented, performed and broke-down the creative process for their art at the ArtHows creative hustle event held in Harare on the 28th of June 2022. At the event the audience was treated to a combination of entertainment and education through cross discipline performance art and presentations on how the magic was made.
