Virago

Virago is a visual EP, that uses music, poetry, film, fashion and visual art as its main pillars to tell the love and life stories of Africa’s women from spiritual, emotional, mental and physical perspectives. The use of a Visual EP is intentional to make it easier to tackle social barriers and stigmas that surround issues of roles and responsibilities of women as partners to men. The difficult issues include; social consequences when women cross the moral lines for survival, dealing with heartbreak, betrayal and its shades of polygamy. In this era many young people are taught and influenced by cultures, values and lifestyle and ideas seen on the internet. Creating a visual EP was a balanced way to both educate and entertain.
